I haven’t posted about packaging in quite a while so here’s some from a few months ago that I love.
When it came to redesigning Morrisons Laundry Care, Stocks Taylor Benson avoided the clichéd route of flowers, butterflies and frolicking children and decided instead to make the label, look like a label. This is one of those times when you realise that a fresh take on a long standing product was desperately needed. What STB have succeeding in doing is completely revitalising the laundry market by stripping the design back to a simple, clever idea that stands out amongst the plethora of overworked existing product ranges.
This design allowed them to play with the images usually found on clothing labels to convey all the information they needed in an imaginative way. I particularly like is the way STB applied the design across the range, matching the fabric background to suit each product, with a colourful fabric for the coloured wash and so on.
